WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Perry man accused of being in possession of a stolen revolver

Sheriff’s deputies responded to an address on Rt. 20A in the Town of Perry on March 31, 2023, to assist with the retrieval of a revolver.

After investigation, it was found that the revolver was stolen out of Georgia in 1999. The alleged owner of the revolver, Cody Brooks, 30, of Perry, NY, was also unable to possess the revolver due to criminal history.

Brooks was charged with criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree and criminal possession of stolen property 4th degree.

Brooks is to appear at the Town of Perry Court to answer the charges.

Kyle R. Knorr, 29, of Centerville, NY, was arrested on Superior Court Violation of Probation Warrant on Route 39 in the Town of Arcade on April 3, 2023.

Knorr was turned over to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office by the New York State Police and transported to Wyoming County Court for arraignment.

Knorr was committed to the custody of the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of no bail and is scheduled to reappear in the County Court for further proceedings on a future date.

On April 4, 2023, at approximately 5:13p.m., a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 20A after observing multiple violations of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Antonio F. Torres, 21, of Buffalo, NY. Torres was found to have two active suspensions on his NYS driver’s license and was subsequently arrested for aggravated
unlicensed operation 3rd degree, windshield tint violation and no front license plate.

Torres was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Warsaw Court at a later date.

On March 30, 2023, John McGill, 40, of Arcade, NY, turned himself into the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office.
McGill was arrested and charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and menacing,
stemming from a domestic incident that occurred on March 29, 2023.

McGill was arraigned by Justice George in Eagle Town Court and was released on his own recognizance. McGill is to appear in the Arcade Town Court at a later date.

Jacon T. Dryja, 29, of Arcade, NY, was arrested and charged with DWI following an investigation into a personal injury accident on Bray Road in Arcade on April 5, 2023.

Dryja was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Arcade Town Court April 13, 2023.
