Jason W. Whitehead, 25, of Bank Street, Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, possession of a narcotic with the intent to sell, harassment 2nd degree, resisting arrest and use of drug paraphernalia 2nd degree. On 04/16/2023, Officer Gombos and Sgt. Lindsay arrested Whitehead on the above listed charges. Batavia Police Officers located Whitehead, who had an active warrant for his arrest, walking on Bank Street. Whitehead fled on foot when Officers attempted to arrest him. A private citizen assisted officers in stopping Whitehead and taking him into custody. He was then allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Whitehead was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail on no bail. He is scheduled to re-appear in Batavia City Court on 04/25/2023 at 2:00PM.
Joseph C. Jeffords, 32, of Chestnut Street, Batavia, NY, is charged with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree. On 04/09/23, Officer Quider arrested Jeffords and charged him with two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance 3rd degree. Jeffords was allegedly in possession of various narcotic drugs upon being arrested on multiple warrants. Jeffords was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of bail. Jeffords is set to reappear in Batavia City Court on 5/02/23.
Joseph C. Jeffords, 32, of Chestnut Street, Batavia, NY, was arrested on two bench warrants issued by Batavia City Court. On 4/09/23, Officer Post arrested Jeffords on two bench warrants issued by Batavia City Court for failing to appear. The first warrant was issued after Jeffords was arrested for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle on 1/23/23, issued an appearance ticket, and then failed to appear. The second warrant was issued after Jeffords was arrested for criminal possession of a controlled substance seventh degree on 2/06/23, arraigned, released on his own recognizance, and then failed to appear. Jeffords was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court, status unknown.
Josia G. Culver,18, of Tracy Avenue, Batavia, NY, is charged with burglary 3rd degree and criminal mischief 4th degree. On 4/15/23 Officer Freeman arrested Culver charging him with burglary 3rd degree and criminal mischief 4th degree following an investigation into a burglary at a restaurant on Ellicott Street on 4/14/23. Culver was brought to the Genesee County Jail to await arraignment at Centralized Arraignment Part Court. Status unknown.
Josia G. Culver,18, of Tracy Avenue, Batavia, NY, is charged with burglary 3rd degree, petit larceny and criminal mischief 4th degree. On 4/16/23 Officer Post arrested Culver for the above charges after it is alleged that he broke into a restaurant located in the mall and stole money from the register. Culver was held at the Genesee County Jail to await Centralized Arraignment Part Court. Status unknown.
Lori A. Wittkopp, 61, of Spencer Court, Batavia, NY, is charged with aggravated DWI/ .18% or more BAC and driving while intoxicated. On 4/14/23, Officer Gombos arrested Wittkopp for the above charges at a local gas station after an investigation into a complaint where it was alleged that she had been operating her motor vehicle while intoxicated. Wittkopp was issued several traffic tickets scheduled for Batavia City Court at a later date and released.
Kendra Q. Thomas, 35, of Dellinger Avenue, Batavia, NY, is charged with harassment 2nd degree and endangering the welfare of a child. On 4/15/23 Officer Rissinger arrested Thomas, charging her with harassment 2nd degree and endangering the welfare of a child. It is alleged that Thomas engaged in a physical altercation with a juvenile. Thomas was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 5/02/23 and released.
Cassandra F. Smith, 37, of Manhattan Avenue, Batavia, NY, is charged with two counts of petit larceny. On 4/08/23, Offcier Crossett arrested Smith, charging her with petit larceny. It is alleged that Smith first stole various items from a yard on Manhattan Avenue. Smith is also alleged to have stolen items from another porch on Manhattan Avenue. Smith was released on an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 4/18/23 at 1:00 pm.
Cassandra F Smith, 37, of Manhattan Avenue, Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal trespass second degree. On 4/12/23, Officer Martinez arrested Smith for criminal trespass second degree. It is alleged that Smith entered and remained unlawfully inside an apartment on Washington Avenue where she left a note for the victim to find when they returned home. Smith was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court and is scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court at a later date.
Cassandra F. Smith, 37, of Manhattan Avenue, Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal mischief fourth degree. On 4/12/23, Officer Freeman arrested Smith for criminal mischief in the fourth degree. It is alleged that Smith spray painted an apartment door, doorbell camera, and a van in the driveway of a residence on Washington Avenue. Smith was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court, status unknown.
Salvatore Dellapenna, 54, of Vine Street, Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal mischief. On 4/08/23, Officer Yung arrested Dellapenna, charging him with criminal mischief after he allegedly damaged a neighbor’s front door by kicking it. Dellapenna was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 4/18/23 at 1:00pm and released.
Patricia M. Anderson, 38, of Buell Street, Batavia, NY, is charged with petit larceny, operating a motor vehicle while the registration is suspended, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle 3rd degree. On 4/09/2023, Officer Moscicki arrested Anderson for the above charges. It is alleged that Anderson filled a shopping cart with $139 worth of items and left a local business on E. Main Street without paying. The investigation also discovered that Anderson allegedly operated a motor vehicle while her license was suspended and while said vehicle’s registration was suspended. Anderson was released with an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 4/25/23 at 1:00pm.
Modesto O. Cardenas, 29, of Pearl Street, Batavia, NY, is charged with harassment in the second degree. On 4/01/23, Officer Gombos arrested Cardenas for harassment in the second degree after an investigation into a disturbance. Cardenas was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court, status unknown.
Linda L. Snyder, 40, of Creek Road, Batavia, NY, was arrested on bench warrants issued by Batavia City Court and charged with bail jumping in the third degree. On 4/05/23, Officer Post arrested Snyder on bench warrants issued by Batavia City Court for harassment, criminal mischief, and animal cruelty charges. Additionally, Snyder was charged with bail jumping in the third degree because she failed to appear in court as directed after being released on her own recognizance from a criminal proceeding. Snyder was arraigned in Batavia City Court and custody remanded to the Genesee County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail. Snyder was scheduled to appear in Batavia City Court on 4/12/23 at 4:00 pm.
