BATAVIA POLICE BLOTTER/May 1, 2023

Luis J. Santiago Arroyo, 34, of Buell Street, Batavia, NY, is charged with harassment 2nd degree, endangering the welfare of a child, and criminal contempt 1st degree. On 4/23/23, Officer Yung arrested Santiago Arroyo on the above charges after investigating a reported physical incident during a custody exchange.  It is alleged that Santiago Arroyo, unprovoked, struck a person protected by an order of protection while they were holding a child. The incident was captured on a ring cam.  Santiago Arroyo was transported to the Genesee County Jail to await Centralized Arraignment Part Court.  Status unknown.

Aaron T. Hendershot, 26, of Ellsworth Avenue, Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal contempt second degree and aggravated family offense. On 4/20/23, Officer Freeman arrested Hendershot, charging him with criminal contempt after he allegedly violated an order of protection by calling, messaging, and writing letters to the protected party.  He was additionally charged with aggravated family offense as he has been convicted of a specified offense within the immediately preceding 5 years (2/6/23).  Hendershot was arraigned in Batavia City Court and custody remanded to the Genesee County Jail without bail. 

Alisha A. Soule, 26, of Route 237, LeRoy, NY, is charged with harassment 2nd degree and criminal mischief 4th degree. On 4/26/23, Officer Martinez arrested Soule on the above charges after responding to a disturbance.  Soule allegedly kicked the door in to gain entry to the house and struck an individual while attempting to get to another individual.  Soule was arraigned in Batavia City Court where she was released to reappear at a later date.

Pamela L Dickinson, 60, of Roosevelt Avenue, Batavia, NY, is charged with DWI, failure to comply, speeding, and failure to yield to an emergency vehicle. On 4/24/23, at about 6:30a.m., Officer Weglarski arrested Dickinson on the above charges.  Dickinson was allegedly observed speeding on Pearl Street and then failed to stop until being blocked by patrols at the intersection of Washington Avenue and Bank Street.  Dickinson was issued traffic tickets to appear in Batavia City Court on 5/10/23 at 9:00am and released.

Shelby L. Fryer, 27, of Prune Street, Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal impersonation. On 4/22/23, Officer Gombos arrested Fryer, charging her with criminal impersonation after an investigation during a traffic stop where it is alleged that Fryer provided police with a false name in an attempt to not be arrested on an outstanding warrant.  Fryer was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released to reappear at a later date.

Shelby L. Fryer, 27, of Prune Street, Batavia, NY, was arrested on a Batavia City Court bench warrant for failure to appear. On 4/22/23, Officer Gombos arrested Fryer on a bench warrant issued by Batavia City Court for failure to appear.  Fryer was ticketed for aggravated unlicensed operation on 1/22/23 after she failed to appear in court and a bench warrant was issued.  Fryer was arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court.  Status unknown.

Haley M. Larnder, 23, of North Street, Batavia, NY, was arrested on a Batavia City Court arrest warrant. On 4/21/23, Officer Mruczek arrested Larnder on an arrest warrant issued by Batavia City Court.  Larnder was originally arrested on 3/19/23 for criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th and issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 4/10/23.  Larnder was arraigned on the arrest warrant at Batavia City Court and released on her own recognizance to appear in Batavia City Court on 5/09/23 at 3:00 pm. 

Jacqulyn A. Dueppengieser, 39, of Page Road, Perry, NY, is charged with petit larceny. On 4/20/23, Officer Mruczek arrested Dueppengieser for petit larceny after she allegedly stole from a business on East Main Street.  Dueppengieser was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 5/09/23 at 1:30 p.m. and released.

Natasha J. Durney, 29, of Hutchins Place, Batavia, NY, is charged with nine counts of harboring an unlicensed dog. On 4/21/23, Officer Quider arrested Durney and charged her with 9 counts of harboring an unlicensed dog after responding to a report of dogs fighting on Hutchins Place.  During the fight, a person was bitten.  After an investigation it is alleged that Durney has 9 unlicensed dogs.  Durney was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 5/09/23 at 1:00pm.

Jessica Hernandez, 35, of Summit Street, Batavia, NY, was arrested as a fugitive from justice. On 04/22/2023, Officer Rissinger arrested Hernandez on the above listed charge. Batavia Police Department Officers executed an arrest warrant after being contacted by the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office in Florida. The Batavia Police Department was informed that Volusia County had a warrant for Hernandez on the charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after an incident there. Hernandez was processed, arraigned in Centralized Arraignment Part Court and held at the Genesee County Jail to await extradition to Volusia County, Florida.

David A. Kendall, 50, of Bank Street, Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal contempt 2nd degree. On 4/23/23, Officer Weglarski arrested Kendall, charging him with criminal contempt 2nd degree after he allegedly violated a stay away order of protection by speaking with the protected party.  Kendall was issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia City Court on 5/09/23 at 1:00 pm and released.
