Press release

For the seventh year in a row, Healogics® has named the United Memorial Medical Center (UMMC) Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine Center a Center of Distinction (COD).  And for the first time, the Center has also received the Clinical Excellence Award.

To earn COD designation, the Center achieved outstanding clinical outcomes for twelve consecutive months, including a patient satisfaction rate of 95% percent, and a wound adjusted healing rate of 87%.

The Clinical Excellence Award is earned by scoring in the top 10% (of more than 600 eligible Healogics outpatient Wound Care Centers®) on the Clinical Excellence measure.

Center leaders will be given the awards Tuesday and staff members will be recognized for their achievements, as patients share their stories about the excellent care they received.

  1. To UMMC Wound Care Lisa Albanese,

I went to the UMMC ER multiple times as directed by cardiology. They sent the attached charges indicating my insurance would not pay.

I was scolded during each visit stating it was not a necessary visit. I wanted to let you know I indicated when I was told to come.

I need help!! Either for them to correctly note that I followed instructions or a source of funding for these charges.

This email will not allow me to attach a copy of the charges.
