NYS Attorney General Letitia James made a stop at the Juneteenth Freedom Day event at Williams Park on Saturday afternoon.
James says she heard about the group Just Kings, who assisted seniors and those in need during the pandemic with food and resources, and wanted to stop by personally to thank them and meet them.

“Actually, I think I’m falling for Batavia, I met a number of great vendors and individuals who live in Batavia, and they were all about Batavia. I met a couple of sports teams, had a hot dog and lemonade, spoke to some children, I enjoy Batavia and I think I’ll be back,” says James.

The Juneteenth Freedom Day celebration will go until 8:00p.m. this evening, with vendors, food, music and plenty of things to do.
