WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Neighbor dispute leads to charges

On June 17, 2023, at approximately 6:36 PM, deputies from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office were dispatched to a private drive off of Buffalo Road, Town of Orangeville, for the
report of a female that was run over by a vehicle and a male that was assaulted.

Deputies arrived on location and determined that two adjacent neighbors were in a dispute. Statements were taken from all parties involved and videos of the incident were reviewed.

Following the investigation, Heather E. Geoghegan, 49, of Buffalo Road, Varysburg, NY, was charged with disorderly conduct, falsely reporting an incident and offering a false instrument for filing in the second degree. Heather’s husband, Mark R. Geoghegan, 49, also of Buffalo Road, Varysburg, NY, was charged with disorderly conduct and offering a false instrument for filing.

An eighteen-year-old male was also charged with disorderly conduct as a result of the investigation.

All parties are scheduled to appear in the Town of Orangeville Court at a later date for further proceedings.

On June 22, 2023, at approximately 3:19 PM, a deputy from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 77 in the Town of Bennington, after observing a
vehicle traveling southbound in an erratic manner.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as David Conrad, 53, of Sheldon , NY, who exhibited signs of intoxication. Conrad was requested to submit to field sobriety testing, which he was ultimately unable to perform.

Conrad was arrested for DWI and transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office, where he submitted to a breath test. Conrad was found to have a BAC greater than a .18%. Conrad was also found to have a prior conviction for DWI in 2015.

Conrad was charged with aggravated DWI(.18% or greater), DWI, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, failed to signal turn and inadequate stop lamps.

Conrad was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Bennington
Court at a later date.

Deputies from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office were working a DWI detail on June 14, 2023.
During the detail, s traffic stop was conducted on a David Procknal, 65, of North Collins, NY, for multiple traffic infractions on Route 77 in the Town of Bennington.

A roadside DWI/DWAI investigation was conducted which led to the arrest of Procknal for driving while ability impaired by the use of drugs.

Procknal was issued appearance tickets for driving while ability impaired by drugs, failure to stop at
stop sign, speed in zone and failure to keep right. He is to appear at Bennington Town Court on
6/26/2023 at 6:00PM to answer the charge.
