Raymond L. Leach III, 22, of Batavia, NY, was arrested by the City of Batavia Police Department on July 5, 2023, on a sealed Indictment Warrant issued out of Genesee County Court.
Leach is charged with sexual abuse 1st degree, a class D felony, criminal sexual act 1st degree, a class B felony and rape 1st degree, a class B felony.
The charges stem from an investigation conducted by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office which started in September 2022 after an incident that occurred in August of 2022 in the town of Batavia. Leach allegedly had sexual contact, including sexual intercourse/oral and anal sexual conduct, with another person who was incapable of consent by being physically helpless.
Leach was turned over to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office and was arraigned in Genesee County Court on July 6, 2023, and released on his own recognizance.
