Over 20 YMCA Challenger athletes shared the field at Dwyer Stadium on Saturday with Batavia Muckdogs players and volunteers, learning the fundamentals of teamwork by participating in fun drills and playing in a game with the players at the end of the session.
Challenger athletes received four free tickets to return to the field for Saturday evening’s baseball game against Auburn, and a Muckdogs baseball cap.
The Challenger Sports program serves boys and girls ages 5-21 with developmental and other disabilities.
