On 7/24/2023, Bleyke Z. Culver, 27, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on an arrest warrant for Burglary 2nd degree and Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. It’s alleged that on 6/23/2023, Culver violated an order of protection, by entering the residence, of the protected party. An arrest warrant was issued on 7/7/2023.
On 7/24, Culver was located by Police in Austin Park. He attempted to flee but was taken into custody a short distance away. At the time of his arrest, Culver was allegedly with the protected party, in violation of the order of protection. He was charged with an additional count of Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. Culver was arraigned in CAP Court and remanded to custody of the Genesee County Jail.
On 7/20/2023, Zakara R. Jackson, 19, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on two arrest warrants out of Batavia City Court. The first warrant charges Jackson with Bail Jumping 2nd degree. It’s alleged that Jackson had been previously charged with a separate count of Bail Jumping 2nd degree. She was arraigned and released, on that charge, but failed to appear in court.
The second warrant charges her with Bail Jumping 3rd degree, in relation to a charge of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. She was arraigned on that charge and released but failed to appear back in court. Jackson was arraigned on the warrants and released under the supervision of Genesee Justice. She is due back in court on 9/13/2023.
On 7/19/2023, Robert D. Griffin, 45, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with felony DWI and Open Container in a Vehicle. At about 8:22pm, Police responded to the area of Summit Street and Ellsworth Avenue, for the report of a disturbance in the street. After an investigation, it was found that Griffin had been allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated.
Griffin was convicted of a separate DWI charge, within the last 10 years, making this arrest a felony. While at the Batavia Police Station, Griffin allegedly damaged a wall. He was additionally charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree. Griffin was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the custody of the Genesee County Jail. He is due back in court on 8/10/2023.
On 7/18/2023, Heather N. Holbrook, 38, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on a bench warrant out of Batavia City Court. Holbrook was initially arrested on 5/17/2023, for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree with Intent to Sell, a class B felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree, a class C felony. Holbrook was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released on her own recognizance. Holbrook allegedly failed to appear at her next court date and a warrant was issued, on 7/10/2023. On 7/18, Holbrook was located and arrested on the warrant. She was arraigned in CAP Court, where she was again released. Holbrook is due back in court, at a later date.

On 7/20/2023, Kimberly L. Bue, 34, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Bail Jumping 3rd degree. Blue was previously arrested and charged with Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Blue was arraigned on that charge and released. She allegedly failed to appear at a scheduled court appearance. On 7/20, she was arrested at the Genesee County Jail, where she was incarcerated on an unrelated matter. She was arraigned in CAP Court and is due back in Batavia City Court at a later date.

On 7/19/2023, Zachary J. Sauberan, 28, of Lakewood, NY, was arrested on an arrest warrant out of Batavia City Court. Sauberan was previously arrested on 1/4/2023 and charged with Harassment 2nd degree. He was issued an appearance ticket and released. He allegedly failed to appear in court and a warrant was issued, on 4/5/2023. On 7/19, Sauberan was arrested on the warrant. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court, where the case was resolved.

On 7/22/2023, Sheri A. Jansen, 45, of Corfu, NY, was arrested for DWI. Jansen’s arrest comes after an investigation into a civilian complaint of an erratic operator on Clinton Street. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and conduct a traffic stop. Jansen was allegedly found to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. She was issued several traffic tickets and released. Jansen will appear in Batavia City Court on 8/8/2023.

On 7/23/2023, Andrew D. Beedham, 37, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. Beedham was arrested following an investigation into a disturbance, where he allegedly violated an order of protection by having contact with the protected party. Beedham was arraigned in CAP Court and released. He is due back in court at a later date.

On 7/22/2023, Michelle L. Preston, 57, of Batavia, NY was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. It’s alleged that Preston used another person’s debit card information without their permission, to make several online purchases. Preston was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Batavia City Court, on 8/8/2023.

On 7/22/2023, Tyler J. Mills, 23, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Harassment 2nd degree. Mills was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance on Washington Avenue. It’s alleged that Mills shoved the victim and threw an item at her. Mills was arraigned in CAP Court and released. He is due in Batavia City Court at a later date.

On 7/20/2023, Frank H. Williams III, 40, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on a warrant from the Pennsylvania State Police. Williams was arrested after a traffic stop on Main Street in Batavia, where it was discovered that he had a warrant for drug possession in Pennsylvania. Williams was arraigned as a Fugitive from Justice and remanded to the Genesee County Jail to await extradition.

On 7/17/2023, Niyoki T. Simmons, 51, of Rochester, NY, was arrested and charged with Aggravated DWI. Shortly before 7:30pm, police responded to an address on Park Rd, for the report of a disturbance in the parking lot. During the course of the investigation, it was found that Simmons was allegedly operating a vehicle while intoxicated. Simmons was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Batavia City Court on 8/2/2023.

On 7/18/2023, Shannon M. Armstead, 30, of Batavia, NY was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree. Armstead was arrested after an investigation into a disturbance where she allegedly damaged numerous items, inside a residence. Armstead was arraigned in Batavia City Court and was released on her own recognizance. She is due back in court on 8/17/2023.

On 7/23/2023, Christine M. Caplis, 43, of Elba, NY, was arrested and charged with Petit Larceny. The arrest is the result of an investigation into an incident on 7/21/2023, where Caplis allegedly stole another person’s cellphone. Caplis was issued an appearance ticket and released.
