WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Silver Springs man jailed without bail on felony drug charge

On 8/3/2023, Michael P. Semar, 41, of Silver Springs, NY, was arrested and charged with one count of criminal sale of a controlled substance in the fourth degree, a class C felony. He was arraigned in Warsaw Town Court and committed to the Wyoming County Jail with no bail.

Semar is accused of giving suboxone, which is a narcotic preparation, to another person on 7/15/2023 in the Village of Silver Springs.

Semar is scheduled to appear in Silver Springs Court on 8/7/2023.

On August 6th, 2023, at around 11:18pm, Deputies from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office
and Troopers from the New York State Police responded to a residence on Lagrange Road, in the
Town of Perry, for the report of a domestic incident where a male had choked a female and left the
scene.

While deputies were responding to the scene, the Wyoming County 911 Center advised
that the suspect, Brandon M. Rosa, 34, of Perry, NY had returned to the residence.

Following an investigation on scene, Rosa is charged with criminal obstruction of breathing
or blood circulation/apply pressure and harassment 2nd degree/physical Contact.

Rosa was arraigned in front of the Honorable Judge Fusani, in Warsaw Town Court, and following arraignment, Rosa was committed to the Wyoming County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash / $20,000 bond / $40,000 partially secured bond.
Rosa is scheduled to appear in Perry Town Court at a later date.

On August 4th, 2023 at approximately 1:51AM, a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 63 in the Town of Covington after observing a violation of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as John Jelliff, 42, of Addison, NY. Jelliff was found to allegedly be operating with a suspended registration at the time of the traffic stop.

Jeliff is charged with operating while registration suspended/revoked, unlicensed operator, and speed greater than 55 MPH.

Jelliff was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to return to the Town of Covington Court at a later date.

On August 3, 2023, at approximately 5:54PM, deputies from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department
were on Route 20A in the Town of Warsaw observing traffic, as part of an “Operation
Stonegarden”, a grant initiative.

Deputies observed a dark grey BMW sedan traveling westbound, bearing a Colorado registration. The registration returned as expired, and the sedan was also observed to have window tint on the front side windows. Deputies followed the vehicle for a short distance and conducted a traffic stop on Route 20A, west of Blackhouse Road in the Town of Warsaw.

The operator of the vehicle was identified as Sheikh N. Haque, 30, no address provided, and after an investigation, he was found to allegedly be operating while being suspended in NYS.

Haque was arrested at 6:30PM and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree,
unregistered motor vehicle and sidewindows non-transparent (18%).

Haque was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Warsaw Court on
08/21/2023.

Following a traffic stop for a windshield tint violation on Route 20A in the Town of Orangeville, Moses A. Asomaning, 25, of Buffalo, NY, was arrested and charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree.

Asomaning was found to allegedly be driving with a suspended license, showing to have one active suspension on his license for a failure to appear.

He is charged with aggravated unlicensed operation in the third degree, windshield tint violation and unregistered motor vehicle.

Asomaning was processed roadside and issued an appearance ticket and is due to appear in the Town of Orangeville Court on 08/16/23 at 6:30PM.
