Shannon L. Smith, 46, and Joseph J. Kostanciak, 33, of Pembroke, NY, are each charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, following an investigation on August 18, 2023.
Smith and Kostanciak allegedly allowed drug paraphernalia, including an uncapped needle used for illicit drug use, to be accessible to children who are under the age of 17.
Both Smith and Kostanciak were held for CAP Court arraignment on August 19, 2023.

Lorraine M. Nelson, 61, of Newfane, NY, is charged with DWI/drugs-operating a motor vehicle impaired by drugs, speed not reasonable and prudent and moving from a lane unsafely, after an accident that occurred on Rt. 63 in the Town of Batavia on May 26, 2023 at 12:51a.m.
Nelson was issued appearance tickets and will appear in Batavia Town Court on September 7, 2023 at 1:00p.m.

John J. Wojtkowiak, 56, of Attica Rd., Attica, NY, is charged with DWI, aggravated DWI and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle, after a motor vehicle accident on Ledge Road on the Tonawanda Indian Reservation on August 1, 2023.
Wojtkowiak was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Alabama Court for September 12, 2023 at 6:00p.m.
