The Batavia Muckdogs, City of Batavia Police, and the City of Batavia Fire Department, have teamed
up with the Michael Napoleone Foundation, for their annual Battle of the Badges at Dwyer Stadium on Saturday August 26th at 6:00PM.

Doors open at 5:00PM, with tickets starting at just $10 and proceeds benefiting the Foundation.

This will mark the third event for both sides, with the fire department holding a 2-0 record over the police
department. However, it is the first time the event will benefit the Michael Napoleone Foundation.

“The City of Batavia Benevolent Fireman’s Association, along with the Batavia Police Benevolent Association are excited to participate in another charity softball game at Dwyer Stadium this year,” said Matt Morasco, of the City of Batavia Fire Department.

“We are looking forward to getting these two great departments together for the 3rd straight year. The Michael Napoleone Foundation has helped so many families in our community over the years and we are excited to donate the proceeds to such a meaningful organization,” said Det. James DeFreze, City of Batavia Police Department

Dwyer stadium is happy to host this event and thrilled to organize these events for the community.
Marc Witt – Muckdogs General Manager “We love hosting this event for our local heroes and so glad we
created it back in 2021 and it has become an annual event as well. We were thrilled to have a sellout crowd for our hockey Battle of the Badges at the David McCarthy Memorial Ice Arena as well last February. On a side note, this event will return as well in the winter as we are working with our great partners at the rink again, said Marc Witt, Muckdogs General Manager

The Batavia Police Department is 1-0 for the winter battle.

Call 814-504-9979 for tickets or stop by the Dwyer Stadium Box Office. If you own or operate a local
business or organization who would like to sponsor the event, please email Marc Witt at
