Blue Devil Night Experience Recap:

In a hard-fought game that came to the last 30 seconds of the game, the Mini Bulldawgs held onto their undefeated streak over the Varsity Batavia Blue Devil Football with a score of 34-30. Blue Devils head coach Alex Veltz utilized his scouting resources to have the Devils prepared. For the first time in series history the Blue Devils lead at two different times. Fortunately, the hard work & determination of the Bulldawgs came through as they scored the winning touchdown in the final seconds of the game. Until next year the Bulldawgs will hold on to bragging right over the Blue Devils.

This tradition was started with former Blue Devils Coach Brennan Briggs and we are so grateful that Coach Veltz was so excited to keep this tradition alive. As Coach Veltz spoke about in his pregame speech to the teams, it’s a family, “One Football Family”.

As we looked around that locker room and the countless Blue Devils players that were former Bulldawgs players was truly special. We don’t know who had more fun on the field between the “big kids” or the “little kids”! We cannot thank Coach Veltz, his coaching staff, and the Varsity Blue Devils enough for giving our Bulldawgs memories to last a lifetime. As we use the saying frequently, Tradition Starts Here … and now as Coach Veltz said, One Football Family.

A special thank you to BCSD Superintendent Jason Smith for coming out along with our BCSD Board President John Marucci Sr for being our guest announcer.

We would also like to thank the Bulldawg & Blue Devil fans that came out and cheered on the teams. It’s what makes our Batavia community so great is seeing the support for our football programs.
