VIDEO STORY-VA Western New York Healthcare System held a 911 Remembrance Ceremony on the lawn of the Batavia VA Medical Center. On Monday September 11th 11am at 222 Richmond Avenue, Batavia, NY 14020, with a flyover by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department helicopter.
Sons of the American Legion/District 8 presented the Batavia VA, NYS Vets Home and the Buffalo VA with fundraiser checks of $1584.55 each.
3000 flags were placed by over 35 volunteers on Saturday afternoon to recognize all who were lost on 911. This is the third year the flags were on display at the Batavia VA.
