WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/September 18, 2023

On August 31, 2023, at about 4:16a.m., a deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was conducting stationary radar on Route 20A in the Town of Sheldon, when a white box truck was observed traveling westbound at a high rate of speed in a marked 35mph speed zone.

A vehicle and traffic enforcement stop was conducted on Route 20A, near Old State Road, and the driver was identified as De Ondrae J. Kirk-Brannigan, 30, of Buffalo, NY).

During the roadside investigation, a DMV data check showed Kirk-Brannigan had a suspended NYS driver’s license with 3 scoffs on 2 separate dates.

Kirk-Brannigan was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle in the 3rd degree and speeding in a zone. Kirk-Brannigan was released with an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Sheldon Town Court at a later date.

On August 29, 2023, at about 6:36a.m., Michael P. McMahon, 52, of Strykersville, NY, was arrested following a traffic stop on Dutch Hollow Road, in the Town of Sheldon.

A deputy with the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office was patrolling southbound on Dutch Hollow Road, when McMahon was observed traveling northbound at a high rate of speed.

A vehicle and traffic enforcement stop was conducted and during the roadside investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle’s registration was suspended for an insurance lapse.

McMahon was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended/revoked registration and speed over 55mph. McMahon was processed roadside and released with an appearance ticket returnable to the Sheldon Town Court at a later date.

On September 7, 2023, Wyoming County Sheriff’s deputies responded to Walmart in the Town of Warsaw, for a reported attempted petit larceny.

Deputies report a female was allegedly concealing goods inside of a purse.

Hillary Russell, 30, of Arcade, NY, was located inside the store and questioned about the hidden items and her intentions. Deputies say Russell allegedly admitted she was going to walk out of the store without paying for the items.

Russell was charged with attempted petit larceny and issued a trespass notice, banning her from the store. Russell was scheduled to appear in the Town of Warsaw Court on September 11, 2023.
