WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/October 12, 2023

Deputies from the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office were patrolling in the area of Rt.
19 in the Village of Gainesville on September 23, 2023, and conducted a traffic stop on a Leslie Smith, 69, of Gainesville, NY.

Smith allegedly displayed signs of impairment and performed poorly of field testing. Smith was placed under arrest and charged with driving while intoxicated and refused to submit to a chemical test.

Smith was issued uniform traffic tickets for driving while intoxicated, uninspected motor vehicle,
refusal to take breath test and unsafe tires.

Smith was transported to Warsaw Town Court for arraignment and refusal to submit to a breath test. Smith’s license was temporarily suspended. He returned to the Town of Gainesville Court on October 4th,
2023 to answer the charges.

Mark C. Allyn, 54, of Buffalo, NY is charged with aggravated unlicensed operator in the second degree, after allegedly operating his vehicle while his license was suspended.

Allyn was found to be operating his vehicle after leaving the Town of Orangeville Court
after answering for previous unlicensed charges.

Allyn was processed roadside and issued an appearance ticket. He is due back in the Town of Orangeville Court on 10/25/23 at 6:30p.m.

Following a traffic stop for a speeding violation on East Arcade Road (76 in a 55 mph zone) in
the Town of Java, on September 23, 2023. The operator, Edward T. Davis, 29, of Cullman, Alabama, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated.

Cullman allegedly displayed general indicators of impairment roadside and was further requested to submit to standardized field sobriety tests. Cullman performed poorly on his field tests and was subsequently arrested for DWI.

Cullman was transported to the Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office where he submitted to a breath test. Cullman had a BAC of .08% or above. Cullman was processed and appeared in the Town of Java Court
on 10/04/2023 to answer the charges
