Anthony L. Vanelli Sr., 46, of East Main Street, and David H. Kendall, 39, of North St., both of Batavia, NY, are each facing charges after an incident at the Genesee County Jail on November 18, 2023 at 12:15p.m.
Vanelli is charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance 3rd degree and promoting prison contraband 1st degree after knowingly and unlawfully introducing a narcotic drug into the Genesee County Jail and then allegedly giving the drug to another inmate.
Kendall is charged with promoting prison contraband 1st degree and criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree after knowingly and unlawfully obtaining and possessing a narcotic drug inside the Genesee County Jail.
Both Vanelli and Kendall were arraigned on the charges and are being held in the Genesee County Jail without bail. They will appear in Batavia City Court on December 26, 2023 at 1:00p.m.

Raymond T. Kuhn, 61, of Main St., Bowmansville, NY, is charged with felony DWAI/drugs, conviction within 10 years, aggravated unlicensed operation 1st degree, insufficient tail lamps and inadequate plate lamp, after a traffic stop on Pearl St. Rd. in the Town Batavia on November 14, 2023 at 9:18p.m.
Kuhn was charged on November 14, 2023, after an investigation.
Kuhn will appear in Batavia Town Court on November 30, 2023 at 1:00p.m.

Michael J. Torres, 40, of Summit St., and Edmund J. Sobresky III, 54, of North St., both of Batavia, NY, are each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree following a traffic stop on North Street on November 15, 2023 at 6:17p.m.
Torres was arrested on an active arrest warrant and was found to allegedly be in possession of cocaine and buprenorphine. Sobresky was allegedly found to be in possession of buprenorphine.
Torres was held at the Genesee County Jail pending arraignment. and Sobresky was issued an appearance ticket to appear in City Court on November 21, 2023 at 1:00p.m.
