Sheriff Christopher Bourke reports that on November 22nd, 2023, at 11:12 a.m., the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office investigated a two-car motor vehicle crash on State Route 31A in the Town of Clarendon. Two people from one vehicle were pronounced dead at the scene. The female operator from the other vehicle was transported to Strong Hospital in Rochester with multiple injuries.
The preliminary investigation indicates that the eastbound vehicle was passing another vehicle and then collided with a westbound vehicle. This portion of Route 31A is a no passing zone, with a double solid line, on a curve.

Deceased- Autumn Lynn Dercqu, 22, Medina N.Y.
Justin S. Christmas, 32, Rochester, N.Y.
Orleans County Sheriff’s Office Deputies and Investigators, along with the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office are continuing the investigation into this crash.
