On November 22, 2023, SP Machias Troopers arrested Katrina L. Witt, 29, of Bliss, NY, charging her with Driving While Intoxicated – Previous Conviction Within Ten Years and Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – BAC Over 0.18%.
During a traffic stop on Route 16 in the town of Yorkshire, Troopers observed Witt allegedly exhibiting signs of intoxication. Witt failed standardized field sobriety tests at the scene. She was then arrested and transported to SP Machias, where a chemical breath test revealed a 0.22% BAC.
Witt was released with appearance tickets for Yorkshire Town Court, where she is due to appear in December.
