Video of scene on Oak and N. Lyon Streets on November 29, 2023
City of Batavia Police were on scene in the area of Oak and N. Lyon Streets on Wednesday evening conducting an investigation. According to a scanner reports, a house was reportedly shot at by a subject in an SUV that was headed north on Oak Street.
Police were gathered in the 40 block of Oak Street speaking with an upset resident when their search of the area expanded to N. Lyon Street. Police canvased the neighborhoods, searched the road, sidewalks, the outside of buildings and knocked on several doors to speak with neighbors.
This is not the first time this area of Oak Street has been hit with gunshots. The last incident was on August 28, 2023.
