WYOMING COUNTY/Castile man facing a 12-count indictment, accused of promoting and possessing a sexual performance by a child

On Thursday, December 7, 2023, William E. Wallace, a 72-year-old resident of Castile, NY, was arraigned on a twelve-count indictment charging him with:
9 counts – Promoting a Sexual Performance by a Child (a Class “D” Felony)
3 counts – Possessing a Sexual Performance by a Child (a Class “E” Felony)

William Wallace pleaded not guilty, and the case was adjourned until January 18, 2024 for motions.

The District Attorney’s Office asked for bail to be set in the amount of $40,000 / $80,000 / $160,000. The Court released Defendant to the pre-trial release program with an ankle monitor.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Chelsie Hamilton. Daniel Dubois, Esq. represents the Defendant.
