WYOMING COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Perry man accused of not reporting a job and income to Social Services

A Perry man is facing charges after allegedly failing to report all household income to the Department of Social Services.

David W. Roberts II, 50, is charged with Offering a False Instrument for Filling 1st degree and
Welfare Fraud 4th degree, both felonies, after an investigation by the Wyoming County Sheriff’s
Office and the Department of Social Services.

It is alleged that Roberts was working a job and did not report the job or his wages to the Department of Social Services. He collected $2,938 dollars in taxpayer benefits that he was not entitled to.

Roberts was arraigned in the Town of Warsaw Court and was secured at the Wyoming County Jail on $2,500 cash, $5,000 bond and $15,000 partially secured. He will reappear in court on January 22, 2024.
