GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Buffalo man leads police on a high speed pursuit

On January 3, 2023, Timothy D. Cobb, of Buffalo, NY, was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment 1st degree, unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle 3rd degree, reckless driving, aggravated unlicensed operation 2nd degree, suspended registration and 24 Vehicle and Traffic Law violations, after allegedly leading law enforcement from several agencies on a high-speed pursuit from the City of Batavia, onto the thruway and into Corfu on January 3, 2024 at 4:31p.m.

The pursuit was brought to an end after successful deployment of spike strips by the Corfu Police Department on the suspect’s vehicle.

Deputies were assisted by the NYS Police with the investigation.

Cobb was held pending a CAP Court arraignment on January 4, 2024 at 9:00a.m.

Joseph Stewart, 69, of LeRoy, NY, is charged with harassment 2nd degree, after allegedly striking a person across the face with his belt on January 3, 2024 at 8:55a.m. in the Town of Batavia.

Stewart was released after being issued an appearance ticket to appear in Batavia Town Court on January 23, 2024 at 10:00a.m.

Jonathan W. Dodson Jr., 38, of Clarendon, NY, is charged with criminal mischief 3rd degree, after allegedly cutting an electrical harness on a motor vehicle not belonging to him on Byron Road on December 29, 2023 at 8:30p.m.

Dodson was arraigned in Genesee County CAP Court and was held on $5,000 bail and $10,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in Byron Town Court on January 8th, 2024 at 4:00p.m.

Mary J. Almanzar, 32, of Buffalo, NY, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree, uninspected motor vehicle and inoperable brake lamp on Rt. 77 in Alabama, NY on January 6, 2024 at 12:01p.m.

Almanzar allegedly possessed oxycodone and buprenorphine Naloxone which was not prescribed to her and was operating a motor vehicle while her NYS driver’s license was suspended.

Almanzar was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Alabama Town Court on January 16, 2024 at 6:00p.m.
