WYOMING COUNTY/Burglary suspect nabbed after two forced entries

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reports the apprehension of a commercial burglary
suspect, just hours after the alleged burglaries occurred.

On January 7, 2024, the Wyoming County 911 Center received a call of a forced entry burglary
at Crosby’s in the Village of Castile. While investigating the burglary, a second forced entry
burglary was reported at Rob’s Castile Sunoco. Between the two locations, over $800.00 of
merchandise was reported stolen, including tobacco, alcohol, delta-9 gummies, and other
consumable items.

Following the initial response by Sheriff’s Deputies, the Criminal Investigations Division and Forensic
Technicians were called to assist. Within several hours, a suspect was identified, interviewed at
an address in Castile and taken into custody.

Samuel A. Miller, 21, of Castile, NY, is charged with two [2] counts each of Burglary in
the Third Degree, a class D felony, and Criminal Possession of Stolen Property in the Fifth
Degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Miller was released after processing, pending an appearance in Castile Town Court on January 29, 2024.
