GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/Batavia man accused of motor vehicle theft and unlawful use of a credit card

Ronald J. Murray Jr., 29, of Batavia, NY, is charged with grand larceny 3rd degree/property value exceeding $3,000/motor vehicle theft, and unlawful use of a credit card, after allegedly stealing the keys to a vehicle from a person at the Quality Inn at 8324 Park Road om December 2, 2023 at 3:00p.m.

The vehicle was later recovered in Gates, NY.

Murray is also accused of unlawful use of a credit card by using it for intentions other than what he was given permission to use it for.

Murray was arraigned in CAP Court and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on January 23, 2024 at 3:00p.m.

Sharon M. Black, 55, of Greece, NY, is charged with grand larceny 4th degree, after allegedly stealing a credit card and using it to make unauthorized purchases.

Black was issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in Batavia Town Court on January 23, 2024, at 10:00a.m.

Tanisha N. Gibson, 38, of Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal mischief 2nd degree, after allegedly intentionally causing $2695.95 in damages to a 2008 Pontiac G6 on January 8, 2024, at 1:15a.m.

Gibson was arrested and transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing. She was held pending a CAP Court arraignment.
