PERRY, NY- Chief Michael J. Grover reports the arrest of a Perry resident on charges following an investigation by the Perry Police Department.
On January 15, 2024, at approximately 2:00 p.m., officers were dispatched to a residence in the village for the report of a domestic dispute. Upon arrival, it was reported that 31-year-old Vanessa Yanno was involved in a verbal argument with her husband. Yanno allegedly kicked in a bedroom door, causing damage to the door. Yanno also allegedly violated an order of protection between the two, where the husband was the protected party.
Yanno was taken into custody and transported to the Perry Police Department for processing. She is charged with Criminal Mischief in the Fourth Degree and Criminal Contempt in the Second Degree. Yanno was arraigned in Perry Village Court where she was released on her own recognizance. Yanno is due back in Perry Village Court on 02/13/2024.
