Six rabbits were lost in a garage fire in Gainesville on Friday evening.
Six fire companies were called to 4600 Miller Road in the Town of Gainesville, after a neighbor discovered the garage on fire about 5:45p.m. The garage is owned by Thomas and Teresa Hare.
According to Wyoming County Office of Emergency Services, the 24’x30′ garage was fully involved when the fire was discovered. No one was at home at the time of the blaze, multiple tools and collectable were also lost in the fire.
Damages are estimated at $35,000 and the cause is under investigation.
Crews from Gainesville, N. Java, Pike, Silver Springs, Warsaw and Castile were on scene for about 2.5 hours.
