BATAVIA/Genesee County DSA holds a rally for Palestine in front of City Centre on Saturday

The Genesee County Democratic Socialist of America held a rally for Palestine at City Centre on Saturday afternoon.

“We want to show that we don’t support out government’s support of the genocide of Palestinians by the Israel State,” says Logan Cole, Secretary of the Genesee County DSA.

The Genesee County DSA was joined by other groups from Livingston and Monroe Counties.

“Spend our tax dollars on things for Americans, like education and healthcare, don’t spend it on supplying foreign militaries and their killing of other people.”

Cole believes that residents in this area care about this issue, which he says sometimes uses scary words like terrorist, to get people to not care about the tens of thousands of people who are dying in Gaza.

“I think on many issues in Genesee County, people feel that nobody feels the same way they do around here. We need to make it clear that even in the areas that are not densely populated, urban areas, people do care about this.”

The group says that if the atrocities continue in Gaza, they will be back for another rally. The group is hoping for a cease fire for now.

  1. These people need to leave our country! They do not belong here! They hate America and Israel. Have no business protesting in our City! Waving a palestinian flag? Palestinians back Hamas.
