Arc GLOW hires new executive assistant

MT. MORRIS — Following five years at Catholic Charities Steuben/Livingston, Leigh Shepard has joined
the Arc GLOW team.

Starting as an intern in 2018, Shepard rose to the director of administrative services. In January, she
joined Arc GLOW as the executive assistant to CEO Martin Miskell.
“l am excited to work at Arc GLOW because I am drawn to the mission and vision of the organization,”
Shepard said. “l am excited to get to know the staff, board members, and the individuals we serve.”

“I’m very excited to have Leigh here at Arc GLOW,” Miskell said. “She has many years of experience
working in administrative tasks.”

A native of Leicester, she went to York Central School before receiving her bachelor’s degree in
sociology from SUNY Geneseo and master’s degree in strategic leadership from Roberts Wesleyan
University.

Arc GLOW is a merger of The Arc of Livingston-Wyoming and Arc of Genesee Orleans, becoming an
official four-county chapter in October 2021. The four-county service area covers roughly 2,400 square
miles – geographically, the largest Arc chapter in New York state.

Arc GLOW is a private, nonprofit organization founded by parents and friends of people with
developmental and intellectual disabilities.

Their mission is to empower and support people of all ages with a broad spectrum of emotional,
intellectual and developmental disabilities.
