On February 8, 2024, at 1:30a.m., Genesee County Sheriff’s Deputies conducted a vehicle and traffic stop of a passenger vehicle, which had multiple occupants. The traffic stop was conducted in the area of Rt. 33 and Rt 5 in the City of Batavia.
Upon further investigation, the driver, Edmund Sobresky, 54, of Batavia, NY, was allegedly operating a motor vehicle while impaired by drugs.
Sobresky was arrested and charged with DWI/drugs and was held at the Genesee County Jail pending an appearance in CAP Court.
During the course of the traffic stop, deputies also discovered that two of the passengers in the vehicle
possessed a large quantity of narcotics.
Katelyn Jimenez, 30, of Medina, NY, and a second passenger, Matthew Parker, 34, of Batavia, NY, were arrested and charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd degree -with intent to sell, a class B felony, and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 4th degree- possessed one or more substances containing a narcotic drug with an aggregate weight of one-eighth ounce or more, a class C felony.
Jimenez was also charged with False Impersonation, a class B misdemeanor, after she provided deputies with a false name. Jimenez and Parker were held at the Genesee County Jail pending a CAP Court appearance.
The City of Batavia Police Department also assisted in the traffic stop.

Jeanna M. Hattaway, 37, of Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the 7th degree, and aggravated unlicensed operation 3rd degree, after a traffic stop for vehicle and traffic violations on S. Main Street in Elba, NY on February 9, 2024 at 1:20a.m.
After an investigation, it is alleged that Hattaway was in possession of methamphetamine.
She was arrested and transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing.
Hattaway was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Elba Town court on February 28, 2024 at 5:00p.m.

Austin C. Durham, 28, of Batavia, NY, is charged with aggravated harassment 2nd degree/no legitimate purpose, after allegedly repeatedly messaging a person with the intent to harass, annoy or alarm with no purpose of legitimate communication, after being duly warned by a police officer to cease contact with that individual.
Durham was held at the Genesee County Jail pending a CAP Court arraignment.

Thomas M. Gang, 43, of Alabama, NY, is charged with aggravated DWI, BAC of .18 % or more and DWI, after operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of more than .18%. on Roberts Road in Alabama, NY on February 5, 2024
Gang was issued an appearance ticket and will appear at the Alabama Town Court on February 13, 2024 at 6:00p.m.

Mary A. Virgilio, 48, of Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal tampering 3rd degree, following a domestic incident in the Town of Batavia on February 1, 2024, at 4:00p.m.
Virgilio allegedly entered the residence of another person, displaced their property, and denied them access to their residence by locking an internal screen door.
Virgilio was arrested and issued appearance tickets. She will appear in Batavia Town Court on February 27, 2024 at 3:00p.m.

Jacob W. Patterson, 28, of Batavia, NY, is charged with introducing contraband into a prison 1st degree, after an incident at the Best Western in the Town of Batavia on February 6, 2024.
Patterson was transported to the Genesee County Jail where he allegedly introduced dangerous prison contraband into the jail facility.
Patterson will be arraigned in CAP Court on February6, 2024

Ashton L. Mohney, 33, of Ross St., Batavia, NY, is charged with promoting dangerous contraband in a prison 1st degree.
Mohney was arraigned in Batavia City Court and remanded to the jail.

Kristen R. Aquino, 30, of Maple St., Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal mischief 4th degree on February 6th, 2024.
Aquino allegedly intentionally damaged a bed inside the Genesee County Jail.
