RESOLUTION NO. 67 DATED: FEBRUARY 21, 2024
NAMING PROPOSED NEW ROAD IN CONJUNCTION WITH THE 8247 LEWISTON ROAD SUBDIVISION AND THE NEW TRACTOR SUPPLY PROJECT
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 64 of the Town Law the Town Board has the responsibility of naming streets; and
WHEREAS, a new subdivision named 8287 Lewiston Road has been established in conjunction with the new Tractor Supply project in the Town of Batavia and the street requires naming; and
WHEREAS, after conferring with the current landowner, it is recommended that the new street constructed east of Lewiston Road be named Rumsey Road.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
RESOLVED, that pursuant to Section 64 of the Town Law, the Batavia Town Board hereby accepts the landowner’s recommendation and names the street Rumsey Road for the 8287 Lewiston Road Subdivision; and be it further
RESOLVED, that the Batavia Town Clerk is hereby directed to notify the Assessor, Planning Board, Genesee County Clerk, Genesee County Engineer, Genesee County Emergency Management Services, Genesee County Sheriff’s Department, Town of Batavia Fire Department, and the Batavia Post Office of this road name within ten days of this adoption.
