Stafford, NY – On March 4, 2023, at approximately 7:23 a.m., State Police responded to I-90 eastbound, between Exit 47 (Rochester/LeRoy/I-490/NY Route 19) and Exit 48 (Batavia/NY Route 98) for two separate personal injury crashes.

At mile marker 387, a rolled over tractor trailer hauling bags of dirt blocked all eastbound lanes. The driver of the tractor trailer was trapped and has been extricated and transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.
A secondary crash occurred at mile marker 387.2 eastbound involving a pickup truck which rear ended a tractor trailer. The driver of the pickup truck was airlifted to Strong Memorial Hospital with critical injuries. The investigation is ongoing. More information will be released when it becomes available.
