On March 04, 2024 at 2:50pm, the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office along with the Lyndonville Fire Department and Medina Ambulance, were dispatched to a one vehicle crash on the Niagara Orleans County Line Road in the Town of Yates.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a tractor trailer was traveling southbound on County Line Road, when it left the east shoulder of the roadway, coming to rest in the front lawn of a residence.
The driver of the vehicle was found to be unconscious and was removed from the vehicle and medical treatment was started. The driver, Lebert Z. Cleveland, 59, of Lancaster, NY, was then transported by Medina Ambulance to Medina Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
