The East Pembroke Volunteer Fire Department has finished in the top three out of 17 fire departments for Service Hours over the past three years. In 2021-22 they had the Most Training Hours at 858 hours. Chief Don Newton was presented with an award from the Genesee County Mutual Aid Advisory Board presented by Tim Yaeger/Fire Coordinator

District Representative and Sgt. of Arms, Patrick Reeves, donated the red striped American Flag wood creation back to the Department after winning it in a raffle.
