On March 19, 2024, at 3:07 P.M., Troopers out of SP Lockport observed a 2007 Chevrolet Equinox on South Transit Road in the city of Lockport in violation of the Vehicle and Traffic Law.
Troopers stopped the Chevrolet, and an alleged odor of marijuana was present and the operator, Tucker, allegedly showed signs of intoxication. Tucker refused commands to exit the vehicle and Troopers then attempted to open the driver door. Tucker then allegedly put the vehicle in drive and began to accelerate, dragging the Trooper approximately 15 feet before breaking free.
Troopers initiated a pursuit which went through multiple interstates, towns and counties before coming to rest on the I-90 near the Pembroke exit.
Tucker was taken into custody and processed at SP Lockport. Tucker was transported to Lockport Police Department for centralized arraignment scheduled for March 20, 2024.

This is why weed should not be legal idiots behind the wheel
Agreed, I drive a lot for work. I smell it everyday on the road at stop lights, stop signs, in parking lots, even just driving on the expressway. We already have problems with drunk driving, now let’s make it easier, with less penalties, for people to drive stoned.
I agree. Driving stoned should have BIG fines attached to deter people. If they cannot pay $10,000 in fees, they can do community service for a year or so until it is paid. But also, same should go for driving with a known medical condition, heart problems, BP problems, cataracts, severe anxiety, anger issues…. and the state should have services to provide transport and delivery for people who cannot access help while suffering from these conditions. Marijuana is mostly used to deal with medical or mental conditions. Not many people use it simply for the experience. Drunk Drivers should also be in this category. People drive in bad conditions because there is no alternative to coping with life and stress. Also, keep track of your friends and family and hold them accountable for their actions. Stop letting people do these things without huge consequence. Ignorance is the problem. Make roads bike friendly.
I so miss the “old” style reporting! Whatever happened to the who, what, when, where & why! I have to scroll thru all this BS to maybe get the story. So, with that in mind…what happened to the trooper?! Is he ok?!
