The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent homicide. The victim has been identified as Michael G. Poole, 59, of the Olcott, NY area.
The victim was located on Tuesday afternoon, March 19, 2024 in the Town of Alabama during an investigation into a missing person out of Niagara County.
A preliminary investigation indicates that this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no public threat.

The investigation is ongoing, and no further details are being released at this time.
