GENESEE COUNTY SHERIFF’S REPORT/April 1, 2024

Scott R. Stine, 40, of Pembroke, NY, is charged with DWI, reckless driving, four counts of possession of open alcoholic beverage in a motor vehicle, speed unreasonable, unsafe lane change and failure to keep right after a one vehicle property damage accident on N. Lake Road in Pembroke on March 28, 2024 at 9:22p.m.

Stine was taken into custody and transported to the Genesee County Jail for processing. Stine will appear in Pembroke Town Court on April 17, 2024 at 1:00p.m.

Jared R. Burns, 37, of Batavia, NY, is charged with falsely reporting an incident 3rd degree, following an incident on Clinton Street Road in the Town of Batavia on March 31, 2024.

Burns allegedly called the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office Emergency Dispatch, falsely reporting an incident that he claimed was about to occur.

Burns was released on an appearance ticket and will appear in Batavia Town Court on April 9, 2024 at 3:00p.m.

James T. Cooke, 30, of Grand Island, NY, is charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more and unregistered motor vehicle, after a traffic stop on West Main Street in Batavia on March 30, 2024 at 12:59 a.m.

Cooke was arrested and processed at the Genesee County Jail and released on traffic tickets. He will appear in Batavia City Court on April 17, 2024 at 9:00a.m.

Michael A. Sweet, 38, of Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance 7th degree, after a traffic stop on Clinton Street Road in the Town of Batavia on March 26, 2024 at 11:38p.m.

Sweet was allegedly found to be in possession of methamphetamine during the traffic stop.

Sweet was issued an appearance ticket and will appear in the Town of Batavia Court on April 9, 2024 at 3:00p.m.
