Megan J. Courtney, 28, of Batavia, NY, is charged with four counts of possession of a forged instrument in the 2nd degree, grand larceny 3rd degree, and grand larceny 4th degree, after allegedly possessing forged checks, a stolen credit card, and also withdrew a total of $7,284.85 from the victim’s bank account without permission on April 4, 2024.
Courtney was arrested on May 1st and held at the Genesee County Jail for arraignment through Centralized Arraignment.

Matthew J. Sanchez-Sanquiche, 27, of Batavia, NY, is charged with criminal possession of a weapon 3rd degree and criminal contempt 2nd degree, following an investigation on West Main Street Road on April 23, 2024.
Sanchez-Sanquiche allegedly possessed a handgun without a valid pistol permit. He was also in noncompliance with an order of protection that stated all firearms must be surrendered.
Sanche-Sanquiche was held at the Genesee County jail, awaiting CAP Court arraignment on April 24, 2024.
Assisting in the investigation: Deputy Ewert, Probation Officer Tucci, Police Officer Luttrell, Police Officer Nicholson and Police Officer Heale.

On April 20, 2024, the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office investigated the report of a damaged vehicle and a physical altercation on Rt. 5 in the Town of Pembroke
An investigation revealed that Jason A. Armstrong, no age or address provide, allegedly damaged the windshield of a vehicle and punched a person in the face.
Armstrong was arrested and arraigned in CAP Court and held without bail. He will return to Pembroke Town Court on May 8, 2024.

Fernando Campos, 28, of Sunrise, Fla., was arrested and charged with DWI, driving with a BAC of .08% or more, speeding in a 55-mph zone and drinking alcohol in a motor vehicle on April 29, 2024, following a traffic stop on Rt. 19 in the Town of Bergen at 12:50a.m.
Campos was released on traffic tickets and will appear in Bergen Town Court on June 5, 2024 at 5:00p.m.
