GENESEE COUNTY/Lockport man charged in March murder

On October 10, 2024, Edward A. Dunn, 38, Lockport, NY was arrested on a sealed indictment arrest warrant out of Genesee County Court, for his alleged involvement in the death of Michael G. Poole of Olcott, NY. Poole was located during the afternoon of March 19, 2024, in the Town of Alabama, NY, during the investigation into a missing person out of Niagara County.

It is alleged that Dunn intentionally caused the death of Michael Poole and then took subsequent steps to conceal Poole’s body. Dunn was indicted on the following charges for his alleged involvement in this incident:
Murder 2nd – NYS PL 125.25-1, Class A-I Felony
Assault 1st – NYS PL 120.10-1, Class B-Felony
Concealment of a Human Corpse – NYS PL 195.02, Class E-Felony
Tampering with Physical Evidence – NYS PL 215.40-2, Class E-Felony (3 Counts)
Dunn was arraigned in Genesee County Court and held on $100,000 cash bail. He is scheduled to reappear in Genesee County Court on November 7, 2024.
