WYOMING COUNTY/Sheriff’s deputies hit with over 50 traffic incidents in the past 12 hours, residents asked to refrain from traveling on the roads

The Wyoming County Sheriff’s Office reports that in the last twelve [12] hours, Deputy Sheriffs
and New York State Troopers have handled over fifty [50] traffic incidents within Wyoming
County.

These incidents have consisted of vehicles stuck in the driving lane, vehicles in the
ditch, property damage collisions, and multiple tractor trailers driving off the roadway and/or
becoming stuck in the driving lane.

The most effected jurisdictions have been the Towns of Bennington, Sheldon, Attica and Middlebury.

A travel advisory remains in effect throughout all of Wyoming County, and residents are asked to refrain from any unnecessary travel at this time.
