Independent Living announces a new ARTiculations Ability Exhibition, featuring Alexander Lavell, artist reception on Monday, April 7, 2025, from 4:30 pm to 6:30 pm. His work will be displayed in the Independent Living of the Genesee Region lobby at 319 West Main Street, left rear, in the Crickler Executive Business Center in Batavia,

“Alexander Lavell is an artist from Western New York with a love of thrifting, mixed media art, and music. He also lives life with dissociative identity disorder. His art ‘artist by dissociation’, is a collection of pieces by him and his alters, inspired by thrifted materials, found items, songs and life. Oh… and cats…as he has 12!”.

The ARTiculations Ability Exhibition is an art partnership between Independent Living the University Heights Arts Association, designed for people with disabilities to provide a space for exhibition. The juried competition is open to any artist in Genesee, Orleans and Wyoming County area living with a disability. Mediums include photography, painting, illustration, collage, and mixed media.
