Pavilion, NY — Pavilion Central School District is excited to announce the return of a community favorite: the 2nd Annual Gopher 5K, taking place on Saturday, June 21, 2025.
This scenic country run offers participants a unique opportunity to experience the rolling hills and picturesque landscapes surrounding Pavilion Central School. The route guides runners and walkers along the district’s established Pavilion Walking Trail, a local gem designed to encourage outdoor activity and wellness.
All registrants will receive a bib and be timed, making the event welcoming for both competitive runners and those looking to enjoy a fun, active day with friends and family. Prizes will be awarded across multiple divisions, adding to the excitement and friendly spirit of the race.
The Pavilion Walking Trail itself is a testament to community collaboration. Developed through a partnership between Pavilion Central School District, Genesee Valley BOCES, and several local stakeholders, the project was partially funded by the State of New York through the Creating Healthy Schools and Communities Initiative. The trail was envisioned as a lasting resource to promote physical activity for students, families, and the broader Pavilion community.
