On 6/25/2025, Francis A. Coombs, 58, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Menacing 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree. It’s alleged that Coombs threatened another person with a knife during an altercation on East Main Street. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court.
On 6/27/2025, Kevin Q. Thomas, 62, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree and Petit Larceny. Thomas allegedly entered the YMCA, after previously being trespassed, and stole property. Thomas was also arrested on an outstanding warrant for Failure to Report Change of Address as a Sex Offender. He was arraigned in CAP Court.

On 7/2/2025, Govher Hemrayeva, 30, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Trespass. It’s alleged that Hemrayeva refused to leave a residence on Allanview Drive. She was arraigned in CAP Court and released.

It’s alleged that Quintern fled from police on an e-bike when they attempted to stop him for a traffic violation. He was issued several traffic tickets and released.

Amesbury was initially charged with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree and Tampering with Physical Evidence following a traffic stop on West Main Street in June. He was issued an appearance ticket and released. The warrant was issued, when he failed to appear in court. Amesbury was arraigned in Batavia City Court.

Kent was charged following an investigation into an incident on 6/3/2025, when Kent’s daughter fell from a second story window while under Kent’s supervision. Kent was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.
