The Genesee County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal one car motor vehicle collision that occurred on Bloomingdale Road in the Town of Alabama. The Genesee County Emergency Dispatch Center received the 9-1-1 call reporting the personal injury accident at 3: 14 PM.
Upon arrival, patrols identified the operator of the vehicle as Justin J. Blasko, age 36, of Akron N.Y. Blasko was the operator and sole occupant of a black 1998 BMW 4 door sedan traveling eastbound on Road.
A preliminary investigation indicates that Blasko was traveling eastbound, when he attempted to passed another vehicle also traveling eastbound. Blasko lost control of the vehicle and exited the north shoulder of the roadway, ultimately striking a tree before coming to rest on the vehicle’s roof. Blasko was pronounced at the scene by the Genesee County Coroner’s Office.
At this time the accident is still under investigation by the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office Crash Mangement Team. Assisting at the scene were members of the Genesee County Coroner’s Office, Alabama Fire Department and Akron Fire Department.
