On 7/5/2025, Jerwan B. McFarley, 39, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Burglary 3rd degree and Criminal Mischief 4th degree. McFarley allegedly broke into a business on Ellicott Street and damaged property inside. He was arraigned in CAP Court and is due in Batavia City Court at a later date.
On 7/21/2025, Heriberto Benitez, 51, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Menacing 2nd degree and Criminal Possession of a Weapon 3rd degree. Benitez allegedly threatened another person with a knife during an altercation on West Main Street. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.
On 7/14/2025, Donald J. Lange, 42, of Cheektowaga, NY, was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Possession of Stolen Property 3rd degree. Lange was allegedly found attempting to sell stolen property on Facebook Marketplace. He was arraigned in CAP Court and remanded to the Genesee County Jail.

On 7/23/2025, Adrian M. Sovie, 19, of Sodus, NY, was arrested and charged with Driving While Ability Impaired by Drugs, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Sovie was arrested following an investigation into a traffic stop on 4/26/2025, when he was allegedly found to by operating a vehicle while impaired by drugs. Sovie was also allegedly found to be in possession of fentanyl. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in Batavia City Court on 8/5/2025.

On 7/16/2025, Winston A. Lockhart, 30, of Batavia, NY, was arrested on a Bench Warrant. A warrant was issued for Lockhart after he failed to appear in court following a Driving While Ability Impaired by Alcohol arrest. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

On 7/17/2025, Christopher J. Capen, 36, of Medina, NY, was arrested on a warrant for Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 7th degree. Capen was allegedly found in possession of narcotics during a traffic stop on 9/26/2024. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

On 7/23/2025, Nicholas M. Ricigliano, 41, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree. Ricigliano allegedly threw an item at a car window on Tracy Avenue. He was issued an appearance ticket and is due in court on 7/29/2025.

On 7/21/2025, Kaliann M. Bell, 27, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Mischief 4th degree and Harassment 2nd degree. Bell allegedly punched another person and damaged property, during an altercation on East Main Street. She was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.
On 7/20/2025, Juan A. Claudio, 23, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Criminal Contempt 2nd degree. Claudio allegedly had contact with another person in violation of an order of protection. He was issued an appearance ticket and released.

On 7/21/2025, Marcus A. King, 23, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Harassment 2nd degree. King allegedly shoved another person during an argument on Chestnut Street. He was arraigned in Batavia City Court and released.

On 7/17/2025, Brandon M. Weig, 37, of Batavia, NY, was arrested and charged with Obstructing Governmental Administration 2nd degree and Resisting Arrest. Weig was arrested after allegedly running from police while they were investigating reports of people attempting to steal items from vehicles. He was arraigned in CAP Court.
