The Genesee County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a two-vehicle accident that occurred on Thursday evening in Elba around 9:30p.m.
According to Sgt. Andrew Hale, an SUV ran the stop sign as it was traveling west on Lockport Road and was t-boned by a pickup truck at the intersection of Old Rt. 98(Oak Orchard Road). All four occupants in the SUV were transported to Strong Hospital with non-life-threatening minor injuries. One of the four was transported by Mercy Flight with a femur fracture.
The driver of the pickup truck was treated at the scene and released.
The driver of the SUV was issued a citation for running the stop sign.
