According to the Notice of Violation on the window, the store posed an imminent threat to the public’s safety, operating within 200 feet of a church and the alleged sale of cannabis that was not tested or labeled (cannabis flower).

Investigators say the location at 10 City Center was allegedly operating as a cannabis retailer/cultivator or processor as the location had a security camera and sales ledger. N.Y. Cannabis Law Section 125 – General prohibitions and restrictions (2025)

Also checked under Statement of Charges, no part of the premise to be sealed is used as a residence or is occupied as a residence (i.e. no bed, equipment or other evidence that indicates residential use.)

The business opened in February of this year.

The site was also a stop for the Little Free Pantry since the spring. The Pantry had to permanently close their location at Hemp Lodge after July 15th. Their four other locations, Career Center, Seneca Avenue, Byron and S. Byron are still operational.
