Perry Police Chief Michael J. Grover reports that a third individual, Samantha E. Metcalf, 34, has been arrested in connection with the incident that occurred on July 20th, 2025, where two children ingested marijuana-infused gummies.
Metcalf was arrested on August 12th, 2025, and charged with Reckless Endangerment 2nd degree and two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child, after allegedly failing to properly secure the edibles that two 5-year-old children ingested and were later treated for at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Metcalf was arraigned at the Perry Village Court by Honorable Judge Wolcott and released on her own recognizance. She is scheduled to return to court on September 9th, 2025, at 1:00p.m.
