The Genesee County Charity Riders held a 100-mile ride to benefit Crossroads House in Batavia on Saturday. About 50 riders participated in the ride that lasted about 4 hours. Participants enjoyed a lunch together at TF Browns for $10 each after the ride.
“We planned one ride this year, and it was for Disabled American Vets, and while that ride was being processed, I had to visit a loved one who was dying (at Crossroads House). So, I came back to the group and asked them if they would do a second ride this year and here we go. I’m not the only one who has lost someone here, there have been a few of us who have been touched by Crossroads House. It’s an end-of-life facility and someday any one of us may need it,” says Kevin Zito Vice President of the Genesee Charity Riders.

The groups next ride will benefit Shop with A Cop and is in the planning stages for late September or early October.
