A Bennington man escaped a trailer fire early Sunday morning on Geise Road.
Fire crews were dispatched to 343 Geise Road at 3:36a.m.
The owner, Robert Burns Jr., was able to evacuate the residence uninjured thanks to working smoke alarms. Burns was sleeping at the time of the fire. The 10’x48′ trailer and its contents were a total loss.
Damages are estimated at $75,000
Fire crews from Bennington, Cowlesville, Attica and Sheldon responded to the scene and were on location about 3 hours. Also assisting on scene, Wyoming County Emergency Management, Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department and NYSEG.
